India is one of the most diverse lands found in the world. From language to food, the country has promised to be one of the most diverse lands in face of earth. Infact, it is hard to believe that India is a home to so many different cuisines.
India on my plate, a part of the ITC property of Fortune Select Excalibur, on Sohna Road blends the best of India together with its fusion cuisine, rediscovering hidden palate of country’s regional cuisine.
Living up to its name, IOMP brings all of India together. So, the next time you are craving Lucknows famous “Sub Galouti” or just crispy potatoes with southern spices, you indeed know where to head to.
The starters we tried were amongst the best we had tried till date. Their Dahi ke kebabs totally won our hearts, soft from inside and with the perfect crisp outer layer; they proved to be the perfect way to kick start our meals. Ever tried “Molaga Podi Alu Tuk”? Weird name, right? But it was surprising how a simple vegetable like potato can taste so good. It was a southern dish which we loved in the north.
Winters are here and they made sure that they did the all time winter favorite meal, Makke ki Roti and Sarso ka Saag right. Perfectly blended Sarso ka Saag with Makkai Roti proved to be a fulfilling meal for us. Another thing I loved was their Dal Makhni. Chef Bashar did a commendable job with making the Dal Makhni perfect.
No matter how heavy meals we have, we always have that space for desserts. We were spoilt by the choices of desserts. Our personal favorite was their Gajar ka Halwa embellished with dry fruits and nuts.
Special mention to the super neat presentation of their food. The place is perfect for family lunches and also they have a private space which caters to small co-operate parties. Do give it a try, you will not regret it.
