In the narrow lanes of Shahpur Jat lies this café which caught my attention by its unique way of staffing specially gifted people. The place is run by Virat Suneja who has been into hospitality and his sister who is a social entrepreneur. Indeed they found the best way to put the right foot forward of the members of their society.
The café functions on sign language and it is an experience in itself. It totally justifies the meaning of its name Hearken : Listen.
The ambiance of the place was very soothing. They even have a different kind of terrace experience especially when you get a roof top candle night romantic spot in this chilly weather.
We started with Peanut Butter Shake and Nutella shake, Nutella shake has always been my favorite, but their peanut butter Shake took the limelight this time. Its amazing punch and balance was well maintained by perfection.
We tried their Chicken Quesadilla that was served with yogurt pepper crème and it tasted as good as it looks. Next on the table was their white sauce pasta made to perfection.
We love Pizza and so we made sure that we try their Pizzas too. We ordered a simple veggie pizza. It was a thin crust Pizza, loaded with cheese and veggies. It was for sure that show stealer.
The place is well maintained with various art pieces and books. Hearken Café also serves as a co-working space. And hey, they serve hukka as well.
The only thing we found lacking in the café were the desserts. We would have loved if we could give our sweet tooth a treat at Hearken.
So the place is perfect if you want to spend an evening by yourself, if you are looking to woo your sweetheart or just a group of friends wanting to get high on talks and hukka.
