When I shifted to Delhi, my weekends usually used to be about wandering the streets of Delhi and exploring the lanes of the city.
For me, it was a whole new city! If I wandered around CP one weekend, I knew the next week it had to be something else!
Slowly with a 09 to 05 becoming a 09 to 09, I lost track of time to myself and time to explore the city! But last weekend was different, and this time it was about exploring the lanes of Hauz Khas, not the village but just the market.
While walking through the lanes, I came across this cute little cafe named Maria’s Cookbook, and sooner than I knew I stepped in.
A deep conversation with the owner Nakul, taught me the thought behind this cafe and also introduced me to a new dish named Chimney Cakes.
Inspired by Hungary, Chimney Cakes are cone-shaped cakes usually filled with chocolate or a spread of your choice. The first ones to bring Chimney Cakes in the city, Marias Cookbook is doing a commendable job with their menu.
Made fresh to order, these chimney cakes are light on the palate and great on taste! I recommend you all to try the Veg Chimney Cake whose subtle flavors would remind you of a Subway, but this one is only fresher and delectable.
And for all those with a sweet tooth, Nutella Chimney Cake is a must must try!
